To hide products from search, you need to set up the SEARCHANISE_IGNORE Search Keyword for products in the BigCommerce admin panel.
Note
The product’s Search Keywords aren’t visible in the storefront. It’s only used for search.
To add the SEARCHANISE_IGNORE Search Keyword to a product, follow the steps:
- Go to the BigCommerce admin panel > Products.
- Click the product’s name to edit it.
- Enter SEARCHANISE_IGNORE in the Search Keywords field.
- Save changes.
That’s it. You can go to your storefront and make sure that the product doesn’t appear in the search results.
What’s more, the products hidden from search this way will be excluded from your catalog product count that Searchanise uses to pick a suitable pricing plan for your store.
