The Searchanise Search & Filter app can be enabled or disabled separately for each of your themes using the Shopify Theme editor. To change the app’s status:
- Go to Search & Navigation > Preferences section > Themes tab.
- Click Change app status next to the required theme.
- The Theme editor will open in a new browser tab, in the App embeds section.
- If you installed the app before February 11 , 2026, you will have the toggle DEACTIVATE app’s widgets.
- If you installed the app after February 11 , 2026, you will have the toggle Activate app’s widgets.
- Toggle the app on or off in the left sidebar.
- Click Save in the top-right corner.
That’s it. You can view the app’s status for each theme in Search & Navigation > Preferences section > Themes tab. The app’s status is also displayed in the Searchanise Dashboard.
Important info
If you change your live theme, make sure to enable Searchanise widgets on the new live theme.
