The Reviews section helps you manage customer reviews before they appear on your storefront. You can review incoming feedback, approve or reject submissions, respond to customers, and monitor potentially problematic content.
Review statuses
Use the status tabs at the top of the page to quickly find reviews that require attention:
- All — every review in the system.
- Pending — reviews awaiting moderation.
- Published — reviews currently visible on your storefront.
- Rejected — reviews that were not approved for publication.
- Flagged — reviews marked for manual review, such as potentially inappropriate.
- Unanswered — reviews that have not yet got your response.
Available actions
- Approve a review to make it visible on your storefront.
- Reject a review to prevent it from being displayed on your storefront.
- Reply — add a public response to a customer’s review. Your reply will be displayed together with the review.
- Delete — permanently remove a review from the app. Deleted reviews cannot be restored.
To manage multiple reviews at once:
- Select one or more reviews using the checkboxes.
- Choose a bulk action (Approve, Reject, or Delete).
- Confirm the changes.
Importing reviews
Import customer reviews into your store using a CSV file. This feature makes it easy to migrate reviews from another platform or bulk upload existing customer feedback.
To import reviews:
- Go to the Import section.
- Click Import CSV.
- Upload your CSV file.
- Map the columns in your file to the required review fields.
- Review the import settings and start the import.
Once the import is complete, the reviews will be added to your store and become available in your review widgets and in the app’s Reviews section.
The Import history section displays all previous review imports.
Moderation settings
Go to the Settings sections to configure how reviews are moderated, filtered, and how review notifications are delivered.
- Auto-approve – controls which reviews are published automatically:
- Manual only – all reviews require manual approval before they are published.
- 4–5 star only – reviews with 4 or 5 stars are published automatically. Lower-rated reviews require manual approval.
- All reviews – every submitted review is published automatically.
- Profanity filter – checks the review for inappropriate language. If the filter is triggered, the review is marked with the Fraud flag for further review.
- Notify on new review – sends an email notification whenever a new review is submitted.
- Negative review alerts – sends an email alert when a review rating falls within the selected threshold.
- Alert threshold – defines which ratings are considered negative:
- 1★ – Alert only for 1-star reviews.
- 1–2★ – Alert for 1-star and 2-star reviews.
- 1–3★ – Alert for 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star reviews.
