Default filter view
Searchanise filters are displayed:
- expanded on desktop devices by default.
- collapsed on mobile devices.
Changing the default filter view
To change the option for all filters, follow these steps:
- Go to Filters > Filter list section > Settings tab.
- Change the option to Collapsed or Expanded:
- For desktop devices: in the Default desktop view setting
- For mobile devices: in the Default mobile view setting (available only for the Big Picture template; in other templates, filters appear collapsed in a separate pop-up on mobile devices).
- Apply the changes.
Note
Adjusting the desktop view as collapsed for all filters is unavailable for WooCommerce. It is possible to set the desktop view for particular filters only.
To change the option for particular filters, follow these steps:
- Go to Filters > Filter list > Filters tab.
- Click the pencil icon next to the filter you’d like to display collapsed.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Change the option to Collapsed or Expanded:
- For desktop devices: in the Default desktop view setting
- For mobile devices: in the Default mobile view setting (available only for the Big Picture template; in other templates, filters appear collapsed in a separate pop-up on mobile devices).
- Apply the changes.
That’s it. The filter is now shown collapsed by default on the desktop.
Tip
You can adjust the default view for all filters as collapsed and then set the view for particular filters as expanded.
